Tues 1/26 "Visual Rhetoric beginning"

This picture represents myself. It says everything I am not willing to tell other people, what I have been telling myself, and what I am feeling. The paint on my face reveals the artistic side of me that I never tell anyone about. The paint represents my love for painting, singing, making music, drawing, creating, etc. The text “Don’t hide the talent” was just one small piece of advice given to me from an old friend who encouraged me to pursue my dreams. Those four words are what keep me pressing on through life, and they pretty much define how I live. I am covering my mouth because my initial reaction in any case is to keep my mouth shut. I am very timid when it comes to my talent, and I feel the covering of my mouth portrays that. I made sure to make eye contact with the camera because it reveals a bit of courage in me. The lighting is all about how I am feeling. I am still not ready to reveal all of my gifts and talents (hence the shadow), but I am starting to show that a little more each day (hence the light).
